Split Point Lighthouse is located in Aireys Inlet, a small town on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia. It was originally called Eagles Nest Point.
The lighthouse was constructed in 1891. For its first 27 years of operation in it was staffed, but was converted to automatic operation in 1919 using acetylene gas to provide the illumination and then further upgraded to electric operation in 1972. The Split Point lighthouse structure is 34 metres tall and stands 66 metres above sea level. The original stables and work room are now a café.
