This free camping area in the Styx State Forest offers several campsites beside the Styx River but no facilities. At this point, there is a small flat area, or you can continue down the hill to another small spot at the bottom alongside the river (overgrown edges and water not visible from site). Alternatively, from this spot, take the track to the left that winds down to more camping areas with clearer access to the river. A special site for locals who come for a peaceful place to fish for trout. Please respect this pristine river system and take all rubbish with you. There is no toilet anywhere in this camping area - nearest toilets are located at Thungatti Campground in the National Park.
