Information

Primitive campground with no facilities, so BYO everything. Used often by the young trail bike crowd, expect lots of noise and rubbish.
This camp ground is not currently being maintained by the Lithgow Council. The site originally contained two Forestry Commission cottages, subsequently one moved to the Afforestation Camp and one was moved to a private property on McKanes Falls Road, Lithgow. Later the Forestry Commission installed toilets, removed around 2010 due to vandalism.
The busy Glowworm Tunnel Road runs next to the camp so dust is prevalent. NPWS allows camping anywhere in the Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area so a quieter spot is not hard to find.
