Lake Gillies - SA

Campground on the shores of Lake Gillies within the Lake Gillies Conservation Area. There is a separate day area and camping area. Clean & maintain drop toilet and firepits. Large area suits all types of campers. Camp­ing is free in this park, you do not have to book online. Dogs are not permitted.Lake Gilles Con­ser­va­tion Park is made up of sparse and semi-arid mallee land­scape. The saline lake sur­round­ed by low sandy ris­es, gyp­sum dunes and iso­lat­ed stony hills pro­vide a peace­ful envi­ron­ment to watch the park’s birdlife.Self suf­fi­cient bush camp­ing is allowed in the park. The Eyre High­way pass­es through the park with 2WD vehi­cle access to the lake, but please be aware that the north­ern area adja­cent to Lake Gilles is acces­si­ble only by 4WD.
