A place to enjoy a coffee or devonshire tea and home to a collection of historic collectibles, Thorp's Buildings once housed businesses that supplied miners with everything from household goods to mining machinery and is the only two storey shop still standing today.
This wonderful example of yesteryear was constructed around 1903 for Sydney Hood Thorp, a mining agent and sharebroker who had substantial business interests in the Ravenswood and Charters Towers goldfields. Be sure to pick up an art trail map to explore Ravenswood even further.
