Funnily enough, there is no Lake at Lake Mountain! The mountain was named after the surveyor George Lake.
Lake Mountain is a Cross Country Ski & Tobogging Resort only, so there are no chairlifts.
During the snow season, our cafe & bistro will be open from 8am to 4pm daily, providing a range of snacks, hot food, coffee & other beverages plus toboggans and gear can be hired.
Tickets are required for anyone wanting to participate in tobogganing, all children under the age of 5yrs are FREE when accompanied by a full paying adult. Each toboggan park access ticket is $20.00 pp, valid for one day. Tickets will be available to purchase on the day at the resort, there is no pre-purchase option online.
Resort entry tickets are only required during the declared snow season (June to October).
Resort Entry tickets can be purchased at the gate on the day or pre-purchased online via our website.
As Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is a day resort, the entry gate is closed from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
The resort operates 5 days a week [CLOSED on Tuesdays & Wednesdays] outside of the Victorian School Holiday period.
During the school holiday period (July and September), the resort is open 7 days a week.
Summer season - 7 days a week, 8am-4.30pm
During the summer season shuttles Lake Mountain is a popular mountain biking area with the feature trail being the Cascades.
