Mount Dunn—3 hours return along Long Plain
MOUNTAIN TEE-TREE thickets intersperse
- with snow grass plains in the lower frost hollows along Eurobin Creek.
A zig-zag track ascends through old growth Alpine Ash forest to the rocky summit of Mt Dunn (4km), where there are excellent views of the surrounding plateau.
For a longer 10km walk continue 1km to the Rocky Creek Track. From here, head south to Macs Point via Wild Dog Plains.
To complete the loop follow the Macs Point Track past Giants Causeway before linking back onto Long Plain.
