Carnamah - WA

Carnamah is a small agricultural town in Western Australia’s Mid West, surrounded by broadacre farming country and particularly well known for its wildflowers during the August–October season. It makes a useful stop when travelling through the North Midlands and WA’s Wildflower Country. (Carnamah)The town has a strong agricultural and pioneering heritage. Places of interest include the Carnamah Museum, the historic Macpherson Homestead, Heritage Park, the Big Tractor and an Art and Heritage Trail through the town centre. A 1 km walking and cycling trail also links the town with Macpherson Homestead through local bushland. During wildflower season the surrounding district is worth exploring, with numerous reserves and roads providing opportunities to see the region’s diverse native flora. Other attractions in the wider Shire include Tathra National Park, Yarra Yarra Lakes and Lake Indoon. Carnamah has fuel, groceries, meals, a hotel, post office, visitor information and other basic supplies and services.
