Located in this small graveyard is a plinth standing 8 metres high with a Celtic Cross as its head stone. This is the grave of Mary Mathews, whom her husband in 1899 erected this monument to her It is known, on the anniversary of her death August 19th, the setting sun illuminates the Celtic cross and directs light to a spot that was once the front door to her home.
