Gorge View Bush Retreat is a privately owned bush camping and glamping property near Katherine, set amongst natural escarpment country overlooking Nitmiluk National Park. The peaceful bush setting offers spectacular sunset views across the Nitmiluk escarpment and convenient access to Katherine Gorge, walking trails, mountain biking and other park attractions.Accommodation includes unpowered bush camping sites, furnished safari tents and air-conditioned glamping bell tents. Camping numbers are deliberately limited to maintain a quiet, uncrowded atmosphere.Facilities include flushing toilets, hot showers, three fully equipped communal camp kitchens with gas cooking facilities and refrigerators, a 12m swimming pool and an elevated sunset viewing deck. The deck is reached by a short uphill walk and provides panoramic views across the surrounding landscape. Wood-fired pizzas are available on selected evenings by prior arrangement.The property is particularly popular with visitors exploring Nitmiluk National Park and is an excellent base for bushwalking, mountain biking, canoeing and birdwatching. Gouldian finches have been sighted on the property.**Pets are permitted**, subject to management conditions. Campfires are allowed only in designated fire pits, and firewood must be brought from elsewhere. Quiet hours apply after 9pm.**Camping and accommodation fees apply.
