Murray River - NSW

Location is the confluence with the Swampy Plain River. This is regulated by Khancoban Pondage upstream, which controls outflow from the Snowy Mountains Scheme. A gauge here gives water depth and flow volume. Data sent to BoM and MDBA. Water for irrigating the dry western plains joins the Murray and flows into the reservoir impounded by the Hume Weir.
