Information

This is the location where the Strezelecki Ck branches off the Cooper. It will only flow if the Cooper water level at Cullyamurra Waterhole exceeds 4 metres. Access is from the town common as seen on the map. Last flood was 2010 and another from 3rd April 2025 when it rose 2 m in just 3 hours and exceeding the 4m start to flow level by mid evening.
A day later and the Strez was 4 m deep at the nearby crossing and well on its way to Lake Blanche.
