Information

Earthfill dam 116m high forming Lake Eucumbene, the central storage of the Snowy Mountains Scheme. Holds 4800 gigalitres when full but for the entire 21st century 2001 to 20 has averaged only 42.4%. For the 10 years ending Dec 2020 the average level is very similar at 43.2% with a different mix of wet and dry years. Contrast that with the 10 year average for the 1990's at 83%. For the 5 years to end of 2020 the average is only 38%.
