Information

This is the original site of the fire that destroyed the ration truck on 12th November 1960 during the construction of the Gary Junction Road. It was relocated to Kiwirrkurra 30km away and partially restored in June 2004 by the Toyota Landcruiser Club of Victoria which included some ExplorOz Members. If you search the Forum you will be able to read about the project to relocate the truck. And make sure you drop into the Kiwirrkurra Community to see it as it now stands after its restoration.
