Information
A bush campground perfect for campervans and trailers, offers birdwatching, walking and picnicking, near Wollomombi Falls. Ten camp sites are distributed among the trees in a lightly forested area on a gentle slope. Camp sites are dirt bit well compacted. Picnic tables, barbecue facilities (firewood provided), carpark, drinking water, toilets. Bookings are required. Book online or call the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757.
A number of walks nearby taking you to Edgars lookout, and Chandler walking track taking in the majestic views over Wollomombi Falls. Brilliant after heavy rain, the moist air creates dazzling rainbows. If you're after slightly easier and longer path try Wollomombi walking track and be rewarded with views of picturesque Chandler Falls.
Keep an eye out for wedge tailed eagles or the rare peregrine falcon. A little closer to ground the lyrebird will impress you with a flamboyant display.
