Bell-fruited Mallee

These compact small eucalypts make a great roadside display along the south coast of WA. They occur in areas of sand, gravelly laterite, sandy clay on coastal & subcoastal sandplains and hills. The tree grows as a mallee abot 3-4m tall and forms dense thickets. The leaves are bright green, large and oval in shape. The flowers are large and bright, and as they are produced towards the ends of branches they are highly visible.
