We would like to put a body on the back of our F250 twin cab and a boat lifter on top and would appreciate any photos of same if possible.

Hi

Take a look at the photos of my F250 on this Forum. Also, take a look at Australian 4WD Monthly - January issue - our F250 is on the cover and featured in their lead article. The entire canopy et cetera was manufactured by Metal Form Industries in Warragul, Vic. I have spoken to several BT/F250 owners since the magazine article and MFI is building various canopies for these persons.

MFI, 120 North Road, Warragul Vic 3820, 03 5622 3884.

Talk to Dallas.

BTW, I have no financial interest in this company and I do not receive any $$ for clients sent to them.

G’Day Kilcoy Yowies,

We too have a canopy from MFI, we also have the electric winch Rhino boat loader on the vehicle, and half constructed is the electric winch/swing arm that fits inside the canopy to lift the outboard out.
Can’t report on the success of the outboard winch, but everything else works extremely well.

Can’t speak too highly of Dallas from MFI and the canopy…. Top item.
If you read our posting of 27th Feb re ”From Conception to 12 months etc” it tells of the search for a suitable canopy for the F250

Have had F250 owners stop us on the road to have a look at it, and all impressed.

You are not far from us if you want to call down and see it we are close to Garden City in Brisbane. Have gone through Kilcoy a couple of times with the rig.

Howdy Yowies,
If you dont want to go the custom back on your F250 (ours by the way made by Rambler Bodies, Flemington Victoria - fantastic.... and absolutly dust proof) Brian Fox BOG name NoosaBushtrackers has a ready made canopy on the back of his twin cab F250 with a Rhino boat lifter on top. He did have some photos in the pictures album.... don't know if they are still there but check the pictures out - you might see someone who has what your looking for. Brian is away at present but if you member-message him he would be sure to get back to you... a mine of good information is Brian.
Also, Graham Phillips aka FTroopCafe also has a standard canopy with boat loader. There are quite a number.... you would see every variety at Copeton Bogger rally in September '05.....

Cheers,
Helenn

thanks to those who replied re the canopy on F250's . Believe dust can be a problem so we need to look hard at which one we get. Think we need to come to the Copeton rally and have a good look and talk to everyone. Cheers, Maureen and David

Hi again,
We do not have a dust problem with our custom canopy.... as stated it is absolutely dust proof thanks to the craftsmanship of Rambler Bodies.

Some time ago 'luvntravln' aka Jay posted a thread about how he was planning to implement a venting setup to address this issue - maybe worthwhile to send him a member message.

Cheers,
Helen
