Hi all,
Has anyone travelled to King Ash Bay NT recently? Do we need to carry our own water or is there some available there?

Hi Prue
We were up that way Nov. ,05.Had no problem with water.Fuel, water and limited supplies were available then at King Ash Bay. Borroloola, about 40klms away had supermarkets,c/van park, all that you should need. You do not mention which way that you are going, but if ,after staying at King Ash Bay you travel up to Roper Bar stock up on supplies.Frozen bread $5 at Roper Bar servo.Have a great trip.A phone call to the info center will bring you up to date with the latest info.

I reckon there should be plenty of water there.
None of the buggers were using it to wash with when we stopped there.
Except Boggers that is.

We stayed for a week at King Ash Bay last July. There is plenty of water and its a great place to stay with a really friendly fishing crowd. We stayed in the unpowered area and if you are lucky you can get a spot on top of the river bank where you are safe from the big lizzards.
We would love to go back.
Cheers,
Maureen and David
