Hi,
Has anybody stayed in the Brown's Creek Rest Area near Yandina. We used to stay in a park on the Nambor Road but the last few times there has been too much police activity etc. Any other suggestions. We will not arrive til late at night.I know members used to suggest somewhere near the The Big Pineapple.
Thanks
Dianne.

Have seen it pretty busy this time of year and would think a late arrival would be wishful thinking.
From memory it is a small area close to the highway and a bit out of the way as you have to take the off-ramp at Eumundi to access it from the north (passing through North Arm) and from the south you have to go through Yandina.
Depends where you are heading as there are not many freebies in the area but it is probably the closest if you are going to BTI.
We are at Mothar Mtn near Gympie so send us a PM if we can help.

cheers graham

How close do you want to be? Drive straight past the factory door and down to the end of the road. There is a large turning circle there with factorys on either side but waste land in the middle. The unoccupied land is fenced off but if you park there overnight you will not obstruct anyone.

We have parked up there a couple of times and it is easy for an early start at the factory

Cheers John

G'day Dianne,

There's Chinchin Creek (No.175 in Camps 5). there's only a couple of sites that you can fit a BT into and there is a fee. Try Jowarra Park rest area #174, 1km up the Glasshouse Mountain Road 8km NE of Landsborough. It's free but has a 20 hour max stay.

Good luck.....Rob

Hi Di & Ron, friends of ours have always parked outside the factory ready for when they open. We have stayed at Cotton Tree C/V park when we needed to have anything done but it is getting dear and now with the holidays it would be busy as well. Good luck if you are heading south call in.
