Top Tourist Caravan Park. Date of stay July 2010.
The park was clean and tidy with sufficient amenities reasonably spaced to cater for the whole park. The site I was allocated was tight and without shade but given they were full when I booked and had to squeeze me in might explain the lack of shade. A majority of sites do have shade. There is a nice shaded pool area. The cleaning of amenities seems a little different in that they took place around 8:00 am in the morning, but then the cleaning was of a good standard. There are plenty of alternative amenity blocks so that was no a big deal. The park also had a dump point. The park is close to most sight seeing spots for tourists.

A word of caution. In July Operation Pitch Black is held in the top end . This creates a great racket in the morning and evenings as FA18, F16, re-fuellers etc. take of and land but this is not continuously throughout the day. I'm not sure how other parks fare but we did notice the noise. To add to the fun the Darwin Show was on next door and sideshow alley abutted the park. The sideshow noise stopped at 11:00 pm. Despite these outside influences I reckon it is a good park and would rate it at 3.5 on the AAA scale.
I'd stay there again knowing what I experienced last time without hesitation but I'd book well ahead to get a shady site.
