The track starts/ends at the Pentecost River Crossing (east side) on the Gibb River Road and heads north to Wyndham. The track is about 80km. It is a scenic route skirting the western side of the Cockburn Range with spectacular views to the ramparts. The first 20 km is rocky with washouts. Then another 20 km of mudflats are crossed, till firmer ground on good station tracks and the Prison Boab after a total of 51 km. 23 km more past Moochalabra Dam beside the King River and then its mudflats till the tar 6 km from Wyndham.

Do not confuse this track with another of the same name heading south off the GRR about 90 km west and leading to Karunjie (Pentecost Downs)
