The Shear Outback facility is a multi-faceted award-winning tourist and educational attraction comprising several complementary experiences. They include - The Australian Shearers’ Hall of Fame; the Shear Outback Exhibition; the historic Murray Downs Woolshed; Retail and souvenir Shop and an onsight Café.

Museum Open Times Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm. Saturday and Sunday 9am to 3pm. Shearing Demonstration Monday to Friday 10.30am and 1pm(To register your expression of interest please contact Shear Outback by phone or email). Cafe Open daily 10am to 2pm.

Shearers enjoy legendary status in Australia, and links to Australia’s vibrant and colourful shearing culture are prevalent in Australian contemporary life and language. Shear Outback is an innovative and exciting interpretative centre devoted to these colourful characters of the bush, and follows the technology of ‘getting the wool’ off, - past, present, and future.
