Information

Free camp close to town. Sandy Point is a river reserve that offers free primitive camping. There are toilet and barbecue facilities, picnic tables and chairs, a walking/cycling trail and a beautiful sandy beach along the river. No showers. 72 hour stay.There are two entries to Sandy Point; one via Brunker Street adjacent the skate park and another at the western end of Water Street. Access roads are dirt and are normally closed during and/or after a rain event.
