Information
The Glass House Mountains, located in Queensland's Sunshine Coast Hinterland, are a group of 11 iconic volcanic peaks rising dramatically from the surrounding plains. These peaks hold significant cultural and spiritual importance for the local Gubbi Gubbi people, featuring in their Dreaming stories.
This lookout and day-use area offers breathtaking views to Caloundra, Maroochydore, Moreton Island and Brisbane. Gain an even better vantage point from the fire observation tower, and find out more here about the history and culture of the area.
Free barbecue, picnic tables (some sheltered), non-flush toilets. Facilities suitable for people using wheelchairs (assistance may be required) include toilets and picnic tables. The lower lookout area and the display area around the fire tower are also accessible by concrete pathways.
Accessible by road and close to Brisbane, the Glass House Mountains are a must-visit destination for nature and adventure lovers.
