Information

No long vehicle parking. This is the trail head for the walk down into Joffre Gorge. It is a short but very difficult rock climb down to the base of the waterfall - only for nimble people confident to climb down rocks using natural footholds and hand holds, no ladders etc. There is also an easy walk from the carpark along the ridge to a lookout. The first part of this walk starts near the top of the waterfall so there's plenty to see here even if you can't manage the scramble/rock climb down to the bottom. Another trail also continues along the ridge top to the Savannah Eco Lodge.
