Information

Established basic free grassy bush camping areas beside the Styx River in the state forest. One drop toilet. Fire pits for camp fires. Picnic tables. No bookings required.Camp alongside river pools within gorgeous tableland eucalypt forest in Styx River State Forest. The forest can be accessed via the Armidale-Kempsey Road. Turn north-east onto Styx River Forest Way and follow directional signage. In wet weather the road can be slippery and camp site may not be accessible.Caravans and campervans are welcome, but only four wheel drives. Access for two wheel drives not recommended.
