Information
Ulladulla NSW is the hub of the southern Shoalhaven. The picturesque boat harbour is iconic with its distinctive rocky breakwater. The harbour has played an important role in the development of the area, its establishment in 1859 provided a port for the local pioneering trades of sawmilling, farming, and a tannery. Today the harbour shelters local vessels and a fleet of commercial trawlers. The town is seafood, and the local co-operative at the harbour is a great place to buy ‘fresh off the boat’ fish-of-the-day.
Take a day trip out to Kings Point, situated just south of Ulladulla on the upper shores of Burrill Lake. The area is a great spot for swimming, fishing and water sports. The bushland and forest cover dominate the views from Kings Point west across the lake. Moreover, it is here that the lake is at its deepest, quietest and most serene – the perfect place to get away from it all and relax in untouched surroundings. However, in holiday periods and on weekends, it thrives with action and activity. Additionally, Ulladulla and the surrounding towns are not short on accommodation from high-end luxury at Bannisters By the Sea to holidays homes there is something for everyone.
