Information

Located within the Qulpie Shire, Eromanga is famed for being the Australian "town" that is furthest from the sea (in all directions), however this is disputable.

However the town is the largest oil producing area in mainland Australia and significant palaeontological discoveries have recently been made here. The bones of 4 dinosaurs will eventually be displayed in the proposed Eromanga Natural History Museum.

It is a lovely town with some historic buildings such as the Old Royal Hotel and an Outdoor Machinery Museum.
