he original steel cantilever lookout was constructed by 1. Walcha Lions Club in 1961 and was located 65m to the north-east of here. The lookout was dismantled in 2007 because the cliff-line had become unstable due to natural erosion processes. The Apsley Falls area is spiritually and historically significant to Aboriginal people. A spirit totem site located nearby was once owned by Walcha Aboriginal doctor Joe Woods.
