Rainbow Gorge - QLD

Whatever you do, don’t forget your camera! There are so many photo opportunities along this short but visually inspiring track.
The skyline opens as you emerge from the coastal forest to the striking sands of Rainbow Gorge. Weathered by nature and coloured by earthy mineral compounds, the red, yellow, orange and brown sands create striking patterns on the walls of the gorge.
Walk the 200m through the gorge to where it opens up to the Kirrar Sandblow. The markers will lead you onto the sandblow where you can see the ripple effects of the wind on the sand.
