Information

This lookout is accessible from the southern side of Namatjira Dr but is located on a bend in the road with a steep ascent. It is a bitumen ascent and only a short drive to the top, is accessible to all. The lookout has also been converted to a 24 hr free camp (best suited to caravans but there are not regulations about self-contained). The views are spectacular, however, it can be very windy here.

The lookout is named to honour Nathaniel Charles (Neil) Hargrave OBE, BA, LLB. There is a plaque that describes his contributions to the NT, specifically his advocacy work that led to legislation resulting in the formation of the NT Parks & Wildlife Commission in the early 1950s.
