Point Ellen, the southern headland of Vivonne Bay, provides photographers with spectacular views of coastal scenery with the Southern Ocean sending its waves crashing on to the cliff faces. Outcrops of the metamorphic rock named schist have glistening mica flakes and contorted layers making the point a photogenic spot.
