Information
Bordered by the lake, botanic gardens, and Barongarook Creek, the park is a calm oasis with places to explore at every turn.
The park offers unpowered and powered caravan and camping sites with unparalleled views of Victoria’s largest freshwater lake, including drive-through gravel powered sites with ensuites. Positioned beside a bird sanctuary, you’ll see flocks of native birdlife flying overhead. Barongarook Creek runs alongside the park with a walking track leading into Sculpture Park and the town’s main street. The Colac Botanic Gardens are just across the road, including a playground and BBQ area - what’s better, you can supervise the kids with a cuppa from the gardens’ coffee cart in hand.
With 24-hour, on-site caretakers, the park’s friendly staff will go above and beyond to ensure that your stay at Lake Colac Holiday Park is a pleasant one. The park is 100% dog friendly—just make sure your furry pal stays on their leash. There is a washing machine, shower and bathroom facilities, boat ramp access, reception, and on-site defibrillator.
The park is popular with travellers visiting the Otways (30 minutes away) and The Great Ocean Road (an hour’s drive). Discover lush walking trails, sumptuous dining and local produce, and stunning views, knowing that Lake Colac Holiday Park is waiting for you at the end of your day’s adventures.
Lake Colac is a wonderful spot for fishing (try your luck at reeling in redfin, trout, carp, tench, and more) and water activities like kayaking and canoeing, as well as the walking/biking trail that hugs the shoreline. With only a short walk into the township, everything from supermarket necessities to local goodies is at your fingertips. Catch a flick at the Colac Cinema and browse for one-of-a-kind treasures at the Murray Street Market. Connect onto the Old Beechy Trail, a 45km cycling trail from Colac to Crowes.
