Macquarie Heads Campground - TAS

Macquarie Heads Camping Ground offers bush campsite accommodation, great fishing and beautiful views whilst walking along the beach.Located 15km (30 minutes) from Strahan, access is by a gravel road and a boat ramp and public toilets are available. Please carry your own water and firewood.Unpowered campsites suitable for tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes are available for a small daily fee and a caretaker is on site. Bookings are not necessary but the campground is very popular in peak times so, considering its remoteness, have a backup plan. Carry your own water and firewood. Have a picnic at the nearby Swan Basin Picnic Area, walk along Ocean Beach and fish in Macquarie Harbour. $30/night per vehicle or $165 for the week
