Slaty Creek Campground 1 - VIC

Slatys Creek is located within Creswick Regional Park. There are three basic bush camping and picnicking areas. Access off Melbourne Road via 3km dirt/gravel road with potholes and light corrugations.All campsites are unpowered and suitable for tents and RVs. Fireplaces and picnic tables are provided and one pit toilet block (mens & womens) servicing the area.No booking is required. Camping is on a first in, first-served basis.Mobile phone service is good, fires permitted. Some firewood occasionally deposited at sites by Forestry workers.Picnic/Camp Ground 1 is the only site with toilets (non-flush), has disabled access and is more suitable for larger groups. There is a bottom area (flat) and a spot up the hill behind the toilet on the corner of the road towards the other two areas.Campfires are only permitted in the fireplaces provided - supply your own wood. Gas stoves are preferred for cooking. No drinking water is available.The area is quite shaded. Dog friendly.
