Information

Camp site so called Cable Bay because this is where the submarine cable from the OTL is exposed and enters the northern waters. Visitors will be able to see the junction box still remaining. This cable was Australia’s main link to the rest of the world during WW11. Campsite bookings and and payment to be organised through Punsand Bay camping resort. No facilities or amenities here but cheap beachfront camping on a beautiful stretch of sand. Sandy tracks to sites.
