Sparse creeper growing over higher area of sandy beach. Two toned pink flower with star pattern, light green leaves.
Tall spikes about 40 - 50 cm tall.

Photo by Graeme W. The Island Point Spider Orchid, Caladenia Island Point was only known till last week from one population on the margins of Harvey estuary of 100 or so plants .
Not pretty; but as its common along roads and tracks its worth including. Its a very common yellow-brown puff-ball fungus, that grows in a mycorrhizal relationship with at least Eucalyptus species.
Unique desert species that has the flowers growing at the bottom of the plant.
Forget flowers, its the colourful seed pods that look a bit like hops used to flavour beer that make these plants distinctive. Much branched, dense low shrub to 1m high.

A desert tree growing to 5 meters that has thorns while small to deter grazing by kangaroos. After reaching sufficient height it stops growing the thorns.

A small to medium shrub with extremely small leaves and pink to purple star shaped flowers.
A sparse shrub growing about 1.5m high and forming a dense roadside colony. Flowers at the ends of branches, each with 4 pale mauve "stalked" petals and 5 sepals.

Attractive weeping habit, to 6 m high. Leaves very similar to Acacia stenophylla but tree form not at all similar, or along drainage lines. Flower colour not observed.
Shrub with woody branches. Small orange coloured new leaves are covered with reddish brown hairs and are dwarfed by the very large leaves.
Low growing , dense shrub with tough spikey leaves. Flowers close to leaf base and branches. Growing in gravelly soil.
