One of only two 'true' bottlebrushes in WA. Tall to small tree or shrub, 1-6 m high. Fl. red, Sep to Dec or Jan. Sandy soils, laterite. Often along watercourses.
Scarlet Bottlebrush grows up to 4 metres in height and has stiff, sharply pointed leaves which are 3 to 5 cm long and 4 to 7 mm wide. The flower spikes are 5 to 8 cm in length and about 4 to 5 cm in
