This Orchid is a delicate, to 650cm high. Leaves hairy to 6cm long and 2cm wide. flowers are intricate, spider like, of various colours, green, white, yellow, maroon and red.

Tuberous, perennial, herb, 0.09-0.45 m high, horizontally arranged flowers. Grows in grey, brown or black sand, granitic loam. Sandy Banksia woodland, mallee woodland on margins of salt lakes.
It is identified by its leaping posture.
